1. Assumption #1 :
You should know the exact aimming point without side
2. Assumption #2 :
No intrinsic side to cue ball
3. Assumption #3 :
You can shoot straight shot
4. Assumption #4 :
You know deviation of aim point when you apply LHS or RHS side
5. Side the cue ball in right direction
In the result, you will see
1. the target ball hitting the cushion
2. bounce inside cushion
3. rebounce into pocket
If you are not sure with deviation of aim when you apply sides.
Try no sides first, the target ball should bounce between cushion and bounce out. It means "no side shoot" is OK
As you apply side, it should be OK!!

As serious snooker player, the accuracy is most important - it means the serious player must know exact aim point.
Don't apply any sides to cue ball but you must have accuracy.
When I watch DingJunHui, he apply no side to cue ball when shooting black ball in standard position. Other player as well as Gram Dot, Steven Hendry, Doherty, Peter Edon
Before that I always apply side to cue ball when shootling black seven in its standard position, it always bounce cushion first and then into pocket.
For past 3 month, I apply no side to cue ball in that position unless I want some placing need sides.

Today (2006.Oct.25) , I finally can do shooting under perfect form.
1. Pull back upper arm
2. Lift up upper arm
So upper arm is locked
1. against RHS or LHS movement under strong shot
2. eliminate intrinsic side applying to cue ball
3. perfect straight shot
So I can have "strong" pull back shot,"strong" follow shot under straight shot.

Practices make me perfect cause I have to use SMS communicates with my mainland China friend

I think most of member cannot understand what I am trying to convey about mentioned technique. It is better to ask some good player to conduct demostration in the spot.

Don't ask me to do demostration. I undergo from personnel posture to standard posture.It makes my performance so unstable. I think it will takes me another 3 month to complete migration from one form to another form.

If anyone have time, it is good to go (No ticket required). So you notice the level of snooker in SZ

About fahter of DingJunHui try to colonize the snooker market in mainland. He will definitely have a big failure at last and also has big impact in the market.
I think he is not up to that level to manage all snooker city in all major city. Some local club house would face closedown. |

First, you need to what is your weak point or which one you want to improve first
1. accuracy is poor ---> aiming point problem
2. wrong placing
3. red ball OK but fail in color ball
4. problem to shoot color ball into pocket in their standard position
Ask senior snooker to correct mistakes in the spot because we cannot know what we are doing wrong.

Most member have a aiming problem of middle pocket, or low success rate because they don't know aimming point.
Aim point of middle pocket :
Spot that connect centre of cue ball to far side of middle pocket |

There is many practices descirbed in the book
The problem is we cannot achieve as the book says.
Why? because our posture or cue method is not the one the book required |
