For our current level, cue is not so important in our level

What is your opinions on the choice of cue? According to the way of practice, cue is not important at all. Is it OK to do so?

quote:Support. I try that and it works ah.
I used to have a VERY LOW success rate on middle pocket. Now I have been improved. Thanks Dickson.

Most member have a aiming problem of middle pocket, or low success rate because they don't know aimming point.
Aim point of middle pocket : Spot that connect centre of cue ball to far side of middle pocket

HAHA.......just by chance - the balls spread every where - easy to shoot.
The guy who played with me last night is quite accurate in shooting balls. I lost another one to him by a decisive BLACK again. That's fine. I remember he led me at least 10 points about 1 month ago. I think I have been improving in past months.
quote:To JK47 Last night (2006.Oct.26) , you have about 45 points lead in the match. It is so good.
If you can lock upper arm and knows some basic cue ball placing technique, you will get more than that.

I thought about that last night. I think I made mistakes when I practiced last night. I try to have another practice session today and correct it.

quote:quote:/* Common Practices Problem */ ---------------------------------------
Most of snooker player cannot understand the technique described in the book.So they just some common practices. But those practices may not fit their need. In last, they don't improve much even after they practices a lot and long time.

Thanks for your comments.
quote:/* Tip shape and shoot */ -------------------------------------
To JK47 Your cue is good for push and follow, not for "Pull back shoot".
Since tips head is flat, it means you cannot apply enough friction to cue ball. It makes your cue ball cannot pull back even you apply "Pull back".
The fact is that cue ball is sphere, so good tip head is 1. flat at the top (for push and follow) 2. curve at the edge (for pull back)
As you want "Pull back shoot", press palm downward a bit to make curve surface of tip heads having large contact surface to cue ball so that tip can apply friction to cue ball, cue ball can be pulled back

To JK47 You should ask “食神” to give you grade up- 4 grade up 。Because 45 points lead is equal to 4.5 ranks
Next match, you should have allowance 32 points to others |

Different people have different needs. Here is reference procedure 1. Basic forms 2. Aimming Target : 95% sure for simple shot 3. Basic cue ball placing 4. Howto handle some common hard shoot
Since you have been playing snooker around, so ask someone to watch your match to pinpoint your critical weakness point. For doing so, you will get instant improvement within 8 hour correction practices.
But Mr. Someone must know howto ............. |

You know it is difficult. There is no book about everything. Because I read so many snooker book and try to understand first in theroy, then I put it into practices and modify to fit my urgent need.
I have so many un-practices technique. They are still in remain in theory phase. What I write on forum is very, very little. I just practices something is having instant impact of performance. So practising time is never enough for me. |
