1.>先考慮自己身材比例、手臂長短，配合打球的企位、枕手配合握手位的距離及幅度，判斷自己對球桿的重量、長度、重心、粗幼有什麼要求，可先試試多枝不同的球桿找出這屬於自己的"手感"。
2.>買球桿時花多眼亂，先按照這"手感"要求挑選縮窄範圍，再從中選擇木質類型(硬度、彈性、重心平均…等)，球桿的做工、花紋、配備是次要。
3>試cue，印證一下自己的"手感"判斷。

當然，一般貴價球桿質量有一定的保證，但有時價錢便宜的也許可碰到心水選擇的，什麼牌子跟本不重要，不要盲目地追求某些牌子。一般球桿保養得好的話，會可以陪伴你很久。買一枝適合你的球桿，總比換這球桿換那球桿的好。

當然，每個人的要求都未必一樣，最緊要自己有"手感"。如果要我幫眼揀cue，我只可以按你要求，當中再選擇木質質量好的，始終都要親身試cue先最實際。

cue最好揀"老木"，因為老木"收水"己經有一定程度，穩定性較高、木質夠硬夠力；當然亦要考慮其彈性是否穩定，木紋加做工其次，重量、長度、重心平均…就係好cue。

How do we know it is a "老木"?

"老木"睇落去好似好乾身、好似好舊咁，一般顏色偏黃，有好多不顯眼淡色細紋…等。
"收水"明顯的cue木，其木紋凹凹感一般會比較明顯，所以有些人買了球桿返來，用下用下慢慢收水變乾，就係咁情況。

It is better to invite experience people to help when buying cue.

cue的木色是會愈來愈深,木紋愈顯, 這個沒錯.....

但相信cue身的彈性會隨著木的收水老化而逐漸降低.....

It seems "收水"木 <> "彈性"木.
How to strike a balance ah?
But when the 木 is getting more 收水 after purchasing, the 彈性 is getting less. It ends up to be a cue not the one we prefer after several years (depending on the time it takes for further 收水).

So is the final solution given up the cue and purchase another one?

I also learned from other that to purchase a cue already 收水 and its 彈性 will not be changed very much......so the cue can be kept for a long long time. Is that the case?
