我好多時打波都唔打安全波,尤其成枱chance時,因為我唔係好做得到安全球,而且朋友之間亦無一Q清檯之輩,所以覺得無需要打安全波.
另外,我覺得打得太多安全波,連射波亦都差埋,有時亂咁射,射射下突然就會起Q,唔知大家有無同感?

My teacher said safety shots are even harder than normal potting because it is very easy to go off-stroke when playing a lot of safety.
When playing saftety, you don't have a definite target or line to follow and even after you shoot, it's very hard to judge if you hit it exactly right. With potting, you will know you hit it right if the ball goes in but with safety, it's hard to tell if it is just a little too thick or thin. Then when it comes to potting balls again, you don't see the line as sharp anymore. |

點解要打 safety？理由就是要「迫」對手先犯錯，而比到第一個 chance 你，由這個 chance，可能就是決定這局波的嬴／輸，假如真是「成檯chance」這一球就更重要;當然，並非打得多「安全球」就是好，取分始終都要靠 pot 波（但絕對不是亂 pot）。假如你打snooker的目的只是和朋友聚一聚，嘻嘻哈哈過一晚，以上所講請勿理會，但如果是想追求高水準 snooker，就請認真諗一諗。 |

如果係一啲差嘅球手, 好似我咁, 有時送個chance俾人, 分分鐘仲回個袋口俾你, 仲正.

但係如果遇到打safety o既高手,你係根本冇機會起手射波o架!
佢可以一直set cue 等到絕對機會先pot 波,而因為佢走位純熟,
亦好易靚較起break,一cue 打你三四十閒閒地,如何?

我覺得打safety唔影響pot波
有時可能打得safety多無對potting angle咁敏感
但係如果你話有影響
大多都係心理影響唧 |

I quite agree with what Dickson has said . Snooker is a game mainly consist of potting and safety , the better u are at it then the better of a player u will be . If u cannot master both to a high standard then there`s not much point of considering which type of shot to play . Just remember the level of your game and play the shots of your standard . |
