我打過朋友枝DerooS8, 我覺得枝maple shaft 無論質感和colour都非常與眾不同, 尤其是顏色傾向珍珠白和有波影紋, 枝ebony butt又特別長. 有無專家知道這maple木的正式學名? 有人話Deroo用Curly maple, 又有人話用 Quilt maple.

我就唔係專家,而我講既都唔代表Deroo或者香港代理講既野啦.
珍珠白係佢既finishing同埋打磨做出黎既,mike既maple新cue既時候都係咁.
波影紋就係任何一條Maple用耐左都會有的.(連黑檀都會有紋架)
Ebony唔係特別長,而佢係做Butterfly splice,無一定既長度係夾唔住支shaft的.
基本既deroo standard係23"長,13.5"joint位.
Deroo唔係用Curly或者Quilt Maple的,你見佢既shaft有一條條好明顯既紋或者有d一粒粒既波波紋係度咩?***係天然既紋喎,唔係用耐左走出黎既老虎紋喎***
Deroo用既Maple只係普通美式cue既木,而風乾時期比一般既長.
而經長時間去風乾既木,硬度同韌度都會有一定既質數.
所以大家明白點解佢既產量咁低啦.世界上仲有幾多放夠時間既木可以做Shaft.

Woo, really profession opinions. Thanks Brother 4. One more question, what will be the best balance point for maple cue. I find that when using Deroo cue, the cue feeling is very solid and firm.
And what is the best tip to match with hard maple cue if I would like to have better control.
Please feel free to reply in chinese. Thanks brothers.

我想知你既Balance Point係點解...支cue既重心定係靚maple既定義?
如果cue既重心,係好睇你自己既習慣.我都再講多一次啦.
我地搵一支57"既cue黎做例子.
你係打開行西多既波,你支cue既balance最好前d,大約17.5"~18"
但當你打long shot既時候,出cue一定要好定,Follow though要出得好好.
如果唔係會好容易歪.
你係打開推推彈彈既波,咁balance最好大約16.5"~17"
後過16"既話,你拎高支cue打cushion波既時候,會發現有道力係後面拉住你.
而靚maple既定義就會好個人,好睇經驗.
我會彈支cue去聽佢既聲音,之後拍落去睇既既韌度同埋彈性.
如果係一般人揀cue既話,我都係會suggest返你打落去既手感.
記住啦,靚既maple真係唔係人人control到.
搵到支自己岩既就算喇.世界上唔會有最好既cue,只會有最岩自己打既cue.
Cue Feel好solid同frim,之前都講過係條木既質數.
如果硬既Maple又要好既control.我會建議你用一d軟身既ELK.
一般要control好既話,ELK會係一個好好既選擇.

Thanks brother 4 for your professional reply. BTW, as their is no grains in maple shaft, based on observation, how to distinguish the maple shaft whether this is high quality or not?? Brother 4, your show time again.

我會睇佢邊邊既格仔...MAPLE都有木紋睇架...
同埋我睇CUE,會用聽聲既方法去睇支CUE好定唔好...

Brother 4, as you said "睇佢邊邊既格仔", is more 格仔 means good quality, or it means hard to soft shaft?? Thanks.
