Hi Guys,
I am new here, I am planning to get a cue from England.
Just wondering which one might be better, H&O black plate or trevor white.
and why H&O black plate is twice expensive as trevor white, is there any special for H&O black plate.

I'm using a black plate and owned a TW before.
Both I have(had) are maple, in my case H&O is better, but of cos the price is near double.
If you want a black plate ash cue, I think you have to wait at least 1 year, provided that Robert willing to take your order.

I have seen your comments on cuemakers.
You said Trevor White is top 3 and would get 100 out of 100.
you also said H&O is more likely to be the best in making ash cues.
I am just wondering, is it worth paying extra money in buying H&O.
If ignoring money effect, is H&O any better than trevor white.

依家,我可以講話Trevor White既cue水準一路下降.
我最近見到我朋友仔支新cue,佢自己都話"唉...等1年,比d咁既垃圾比我"
我唯一可以講既係,佢既Maple無問題,但如果想玩ash既話,全英國都有好多好既cuemaker!
而Hunt & Osborne就100%針對大陸,d cue有咁硬得咁硬,d箭紋有咁靚得咁靚.
感覺上,佢有d "食神feel" ,哈哈~而佢既maple就幾得意喎,我之前own過支006,完全有驚喜,但因為小弟打唔到既關係,佢就離開左喇.哈哈~
感覺上,如果叫我依家訂cue,小弟真係唔會去考慮依2隻牌子喎.
如果你話係大牌子,又比得起錢既話,我肯定會去玩返Mike Wooldrigde,依條友仔真係有料架.起碼佢唔會做"生意人"先啦...

2012,
my TW was good, enough power and spin, many of my frds include some snooker club managers said it's good in playibility. i give it up just because i dun like 1-piece.
my black plate is even more powerful, so much spin and sometimes it goes too far, not easy to control. i used over a month to adapt it and now just feel great of it. and like what 四哥 said the shaft is very very solid and stiff.

Mike既Maple會係偏粗同偏硬,但有solid既感覺.
當然我咁講係唔可以"以一蓋全"啦.
我既心得啦,好既Maple cuemaker:
John Parris,Robin Cook,Mike Wooldrigde,Trevor White.
佢地都可以做到好傳統既英式Maple.
而咩叫傳統英式Maple,Shaft會比較粗身,cue肚都會比較大.
打落去會好stiff,好solid.轉數放面唔會好爆,但打落手感會好舒服.
Towkay:
我玩過既Hunt,佢既特性都係好control,好power,唔好太高轉咁,要打好多follow though.總知乜都好夠用同條shaft打出黎會好舒服.所以我成日都會話佢地係d 高手用cue.

如果你話collection既話,肯定會係black plate既osborne.
起碼有個number呀麻,你估唔到佢幾時又話唔做cue架麻~

One of my friends received his H&O black plate cue in November, I had a look yesterday.
It is a nice cue, but meybe careless, down the bottom of the splice, you can clearly see Burr wood is not spliced properly on the veneer, I mean you can clearly see there is a little bit Burr wood edge over the veneer, and if you touch it you can feel it is not even, and scratch your hand. that really put my friend off. he was wondering whether he can send it back to get it fixed properly, or he use very fine sand paper to sand the edge down. it is a 620 Pound cue.................

基本上,全世界既大牌子cuemaker既水準大不如前.
大家都係做返佢本身應該有既野.
好似John咁,佢地都係做返轉數同力度就算喇,好少有d咩"萬中無一"既野.
Deroo都唔例外,佢都係做返"爆"就等於交左功課喇.
我咁樣寫啦.
craftmanship
Mike就肯定贏幾條街喇!
quality
你係指乜野既quality先? 用料既話,我覺得Mike會靚d.
wood quality
Mike可以揀到軟d,彈d既木,有選擇性d.但Hunt就有咁硬得咁硬...
但Mike揀shaft會比hunt好d.
playability
2隻cue都唔同感覺,但2隻野都係舒服,多follow through果type.
我指當然係訂做或者top model啦...
我會覺得Mike似支藝術品,Hunt似支商品.
