Hi brothers, i'm a newbie and I need your help ~~
I'm thinking of getting a Cue, been looking for few brand like JP,Mike and Deroo. My budget is around 1000 Australian dollar which is around 7000 Hk dollar. What do you recommend le? Please note that I buying the cue with the manufacture which means it will require shipping fees from UK to Australia.
Should I buy JP exclusive or traditional. I've seen so many post about Traditional but theres none about Exclusive. May i know the difference. And if i should buy from other brand le?? Coz one of my friend told me that JP isn't as good as before anymore, he suggest me for Deroo or Mike.

Sorry that I make this long, I have one more thing to ask - which is the length of the cue. I;m 182cm tall, does 57" fit me or 58" better?
Thank you for your time reading this post and your recommendation.

Go get a 58"
I think you should get a DeRoo for the best value.
First of all, I don't have a Deroo cue and I am not a fans of Marco Fu. I suggest you to get a Deroo because 1. JP is mass production 2. Shipping cost from UK is very expensive, I'd say 50 Pounds. 3. Mike Cue is much cheaper in HK. For example, his Pro 1 costs 295 pounds online plus 50 pounds for shipping; while you can get it for about 240 pounds from Wai Ming. So, Why paying more for the same thing?? 4. Since you said you were a newbie, even you may not be able to tell how deep you are committed to this game. Make it short, the resell value of deroo is pretty high and has great demand of the 2nd hand market.

I suggest you try stamford cuemakers, they are in the stage to build their reputation, and I have tried some of their cues, none of them made me not satisfied, or you can also try Trevor White

Deroo 's maple??
Honestly, I think Deroo gained his reputation not because of his maple, but Marco Fu instead. Besides the quality of the timber, don't you think craftmanship is very important as well??
I am not gonna buy a cue made from the best timber but with no "Feel".

As the Beijing C-Hing said above, Stamford is pretty good too. I tried 2 in Wai Ming about HKD5000-5400, just their balance is a little bit forward than the Mike cue that I am using and that 's why I did not make the purchase.

Oh,i am late,coz i have 2~3 suggestion for u...
Anyways,I don't think HUNT & OSBORNE "Red Plate" is 100% not a good suggestion,why don't u choose a GLOVER & MIKEWOOLDRIGE ?
More cheap and u can DIY the cue in the same price!

Oh **** haha, i've paid H&O couple hours ago. Anyway, thank you for you brothers suggestion. I'm looking forward for my lovely H&O cue hehe.
The current one i'm using is .Master cue~~" way too soft and i think its under 17oz... So the new one should make a big difference to me anyway.
