Try to show some samples Shaft Wood Sample American Ash American straight- grained Ash is generally used for the shaft due to its strength and stability
American Maple This wood does not have the strength of Ash but is sometimes preferred due to its lack of grain and fine texture.
American Oak This wood is simular to the Ash but provides more weight, and is slightly more durable.
Steamed Pear Steamed Pear from Switzerland has a very fine grain and can be polished to a brilliant glass like finish, providing a very smooth cueing action. Pear has a tendency to be springy, although aging makes the wood more stable.
American Hickory This wood is simular in appearance to Ash, but having a much smoother grain and finer texture. Hickory is very dense with exceptional shock resistance, it is the strongest wood we use for cue shafts.

A "red-white-blue" bag should be also durable, large capacity and much cheaper than an LV. I would not like to bring a "red-white-blue" indeed, even someone else would like.
I understand a famous, expensive cue may not help build a high break in short term. Especially it is frustrating when you are knocked out by a player using a cheap cue. I totally understand as I always suffer from this problem. But it simply pushes me to pull myself together and play better next time so that I won't spoil the cue.
[my personal opinion only]

Right. My cue was broken half a year ago. And I took 4-5 months to find a new one. I am getting started with the new cue but I cannot tell whether it fits me or not at the moment.
