I have been looking everywhere...lots of pool cues but a very limited supply of snooker cues. I know a chinese people snooker place sell Tamar cues but very inflated prices!! I went to DeRoo website but does not tell you how to order or $$...frustrating! |

Also, cannot try before you buy if order via internet...i am a beginner so I don't really know what model or brand suits me. Judging from the comments from this site, what is better? Tamar, Bermoz, DeRoo or Peradon? |

i'll choice DeRoo but really expensive...
for contract u need send email to it...
never have a rules to choice a cue in only looking...
the best method to choice a cue for urself
is try the cue in real...& listen the sound...
& is it easy to handle ...
even jp cues is not suit for every ppl la..
right?

Thanks no name...DeRoo address is in Vancouver which I could probably drive out to. Maybe I should just buy the cue when I get back to HK during Christmas... |

shipping from UK to Canada is around 30GBP = $72CAD...quite $$$
if you are in Vancouver, try calling DeRoo (my friends say it's a pretty good cue). |

I m a beginner too wor..i also ordered a cue from UK like half year ago, the shipping not really expensive ja wor.....like 200-300HKD.....i think it's acceptable......

我個friend識得個鬼佬賣craftman cue, 通常order一箱cue應該有幾枝極品, 大約CAN五百蚊到(without case), 我已經叫左個friend聯絡下個鬼佬, 等我試過之後再大家分享下..........
買cue最好識人買, 一般billard supplies一定有正野, 不過貴到飛起, 多數都keep低比熟客, 一般料又唔值咁既價錢......
好似我見到枝好普遍既riley都賣成二百四.....搶$$$ |

How come such a big difference in $$. I went to their website and the most expensive Q there is only 125 GBP ji boi. that is like aroung $300CAD....shipping doesn't cost $200CAD ma??! |

cool, it seems u got a nice cue........I have been using my dufferin for 9 months, I want to get new one coz i need a stiff and solid cue, and the dufferin is toooooo thick, I prefer a slimmer cue.....slim cue has better feel over the bridge (my opinion).
how is ur craftman, compared to those rack cues in billiard halls?

Are the a big difference between hand spliced or machine spliced cue? Feel better, cue straighter, or just look nicer with hand spliced? If the same or almost the same, then no need to spend the extra $$ ma! |

好打就得, 唔洗理佢係hand spliced定係machine spliced......
hand spliced好處係個balance會比machine spliced好, 因為人手係會比較易控制splicing, tapering......etc, 不過當然要睇個師傅既功力喇.....而且custom cue一定係人手, coz it has to fit your requirments exactly....
當然, machine spliced亦都有d好打, 搵唔搵到枝好野要睇下彩數, 所以我覺得買cue一定要試就係咁解.......
