Hi, Normally before & after the games I use a damp cloth to clean the cue and immediately use a dry cloth to wipe it dry. This way the cue will stay clean and smooth. And from time to time you may also use cue oil to protect the shaft too, give it time to 'soak' into the wood, then buff it dry with a clean cloth, but if you use it excessively, you may feel it slightly sticky. It will soon feel smooth through the regular wiping with a dry cloth. Remember NOT to rub the shaft of your cue with sandpaper. This will just destroys the finish and scratch the surface of the cue. Thus effect the stability of the wood.
Anyone have other suggestions??
Cheers, Felicia
