is there anyone of you practise alone on a regular basis? i always find that i can't improve a lot in this way...i was recommend that i need a coach instead of practising alone....but i am studying in the uk....a bit inconvient to get someone to coach me...very expensive...bloody hell..
what is your opinion?

Hi cowking , i`m hawk and i`m also from U.K. . Practising alone is quite often for myself because out of all the chinese around my province there isn`t anyone which could give me a hard match . When i`m practising i`ll always play a certain type of shot for 10 - 15 mins and then move on to other . This type of practising is very good as it could improve my skills on that type of shots as well as control of the cue ball . It does get boring at time but when that happens u could always set the balls up and have a frame of snooker against yourself . In that way u could also find out the type of weak shots from yourself . I hope what i`ve said is in some use to u ........ enjoy your game !! |

if you have some bad habits, like hitting the cue ball with side unintentionally, then it's hard to improve on your own.
practicing with bad habits is only a waste of time and do more bad than good. sometimes a coach or just a friend could be very helpful.

i agree your point very much, if u haven't a suitable stance, it is waste time, your improvement is limited.
but i have thought about my stance since a year ago, but i cannot find a suitable stance for me, may be i haven't any talent of snooker lu. |
