refer: { 2. how long have you made it?}

依句係唔係問起果個break需要的時間呢?

好似ronnie, 打147要5分鐘.

Hi Cowking , First of all ....... Thankyou for saying i could be a pro as i`ve always wish i could be one day , but to be real about it i`m not even good enough to be an amatuer yet !! Yes , i`ve heard of Frank as he`s a top coach for the pro`s . I`m not sure could i say that i also have a coach for teaching me how to play snooker because when i was young , there was this guy ( ALL IRELAND no. 1 ) ...... i play with him few times a week and he give me tips and show me afew shots everytime i play him ........ i guess u could call that coaching too . About needing a coach or not ....... i think it`s most important for the player himself to focus more on how a shot is play + plenty of practise , i see kid`s ( age 15-16 )around the club making breaks around 70-over 100 nearly everyday and they don`t have a coach , but i must admit there`s alot of good players about for them to learn and to play with all the times ...... i would say this`s the reason why they could improve so quick not to mention they practise 25hrs+ aweek .

hi hawk.

i'm just curious, how good do you have to be can you then be called amature? for me whose highest break being only 30.. player like you is already unreachable..

how's the snooker culture in Britain like?
do many kids play snooker? where they get all the time and money?

Hi Small Road , About your question ...... If i could hit over 80+ everytime when i`m playing snooker , then i could consider myself as an amature .
Snooker cluture in U.K. ar ...... it`s very different from H.K. because in U.K. , snooker is a very highly rated sport ..... a sport which most parents would like there children to be good in or proud of . Kids in U.K. usually start to play around the age of 10 and let me tell u ...... in every club there must be more than 10 or so of these kids which are very keen to make it big time . But in H.K. ...... how many parents would like there kid to BE IN a snooker club , i`m sure alot of us know the answer already !
About the rate in U.K. , the club usually charge £3 an hr which is $ 36 H.K.
Time for these kid to play ? hahahhhaa ...... let`s not talk about these kid because i know where they get the time from as when i was 16 myself , school finish at 15:30 and straight after that ..... i`m in the school bus to the snooker club and practise until about 19:00 .
Money ? not much of a problem as it doesn`t cost alot if they are playing with a friends AND u have to remember ...... there parents wanted them to practise everyday too , so money is no object .

thx hawk
that sounds like hockey in canada, or basketball in U.S.
lucky bastards..

sigh..most people in north america don't even know what snooker is.
i guess britain will remain dominant in the game for the foreseeable future.
