I have been using a Mike Wooldridge maple cue, and recently purchased a De Roo maple for comparison. And I think De Roo does have better timber, but Mike has superior craftsmanship. Although Mike's maple is not as good as De Roo, it is very good already.
I feel very solid, very quick reaction after hitting the ball and able to apply a lot of side. Kevin's cue has absolute above-average quality on different important aspects. But, just I don't like the craftsmanship.
I just feel that De Roo used his skill to make his cues, while Mike is using his heart !!
Just to share my opinion with you people!!

I recently bought a John Hunt Maple one piece... should we meet up and study more between the three brands? |
