Hi,guys
I am going to buy the "AMBASSADOR" cue, but I found there are something unsuitable for me. I want to made some change about the cue length, tip size and weight.
There are some choices I don't quite understand. Is there anybody can explain clearly for me so I can order it online correctly because I don't want to make the mistakes.
1.Main Butt Splicing, Single Facing Splice, Four Secondery Splicings and Veneers under Splicing:
I don't quiet understand what's different from them. Everything I want is the appearance of cue like "AMBASSADOR". So I only tick the box of "Ebony" in the "Main Butt Splicing", is that right?
2.Butt Diameter:
I don't know the exact number I should input, ?????
3.Weight of the cue:
I prefer the weight of the cue is between "medium" and "heavy", so i inputed 18.5 oz, is it right?
4. Type of Cue:
I like the 3/4, but it's not convenient as the cue case will be long. So, i am thinking 1/2. However, is there anybody tell me what's the different between 3/4 and 1/2(lots of snooker players use 3/4 or one piece, i seldom see the players use 1/2)
I hope somebody who had ordered the Parris cue online before can give me the clear answer for the question above. Thanks a lot!!!!!!!

Gee, what do you expect for a few hours?
Re your questions:
1. Correct. But keep in mind that you are now ordering a custom-made cue (Special/Paragon/Ultimate), not an "Ambassador". Do factor in the price difference and delivery time when you buy.
2. Butt diameter is really a personal choice. It refers to the "thickness" of the cue butt. Some people likes thick butts, somelikes slim butts, its all personal. Most mass produced cues have approximately 30mm butt diameters. You can use this as your guide.
3. Weight of cue is also a personal preference. Your choice of 18.5oz fits most people's definition of "Medium" to "heavy". Bear in mind that some cues do "feel" like they are lighter or heavier than their actual weight depending on the balance of the cue.
4. Do a search in this forum and you'll find some info on this.
