【明報專訊】別以為每天只吸1支煙對健康影響輕微，挪威的研究顯示，即使每日吸1支煙、煙癮很輕的煙民，患肺癌或心臟病致命的風險較不吸煙的人多3倍，研究亦指吸煙的女性較不吸煙的女性患頑疾的風險更高。

過去的研究顯示，長期吸煙，尼古丁日積月累損害肺部，並導致肺癌。但最新研究顯示，吸煙可即時損害血管，導致心臟病及心臟病發。

挪威一項健康調查追蹤了30年、研究每天只吸小量香煙的人士，發現即使每日黃昏喝一杯飲品兼吸小量香煙的人，患各種疾病致命的風險，較不吸煙者明顯增加。

女煙民肺癌風險高5倍

研究人員在1970年至2002年期間，追蹤43,000名吸煙人士的吸煙習慣，調查顯示每天吸1支至4支煙的煙民，患肺癌或心臟病的風險較不吸煙的人多3倍。研究亦指吸煙的女性患肺癌的風險，較不吸煙的女性高5倍。

總括來說，煙癮輕的煙民，患上各種因吸煙而引致的疾病致命的風險，較不吸煙者多50%。
