if you do own your own set of good balls, I highly recommend you should get one of those cleaners. It Polish the balls so shinily as like you see on TV but not slippery. Provides a better feel on controlling the cue ball also reduce the amount of "kick". all above only worthwhile if you are going to play on a NICE & FAST table. I think that is such a waste if u play on a champion table without a good clean set of balls - my personal opinion
I live in NZ, there is no club own not even ONE nicely setup professional Champion table. what is the hourly rate in HK to play on a table like that??

The club which I play using a silicon spray to polish the balls. They clean up the balls with wet towel, and the put some spray on to a clean cloth to polish the balls. By using this method, the balls are keeping in very good condition. The one usually used(white liquid) is not good because HK's weather is too damp. The chalk will leave on the surface of the balls.
