美國信用咭結算公司資料外洩事件，涉及本港的銀行信用卡用戶可能達到二萬。
渣打、中銀、匯豐、恒生、東亞、花旗及星展銀行證實，收到VISA及萬事達卡通知，指美國CardSystems信用卡結算公司遭黑客入侵，資料外泄事件涉及該行的信用卡用戶。銀行正聯絡受影響的客戶，建議停用有關信用卡，並向他們發出新卡。

全球受到今次外泄資料影響的客戶可能有四千萬，其中VISA卡佔二千二百萬，萬事達卡有一千四百萬。美國CardSystems信用卡結算公司稱，實際被盜取的客戶資料大約是二十萬左右。

萬事達卡公司表示，本港受影響客戶約有一萬人。VISA證實，集團受影響的持卡者資料當中，涉及香港的信用卡約九千張，其中七百張被列相對高風險。

萬事達卡國際在美國時間上周五證實，結算公司位於美國亞利桑那州總部的電腦系統，五月廿二日遭不明來歷的電腦病毒入侵，該種病毒能從電腦中捕捉用戶的重要資料，包括用戶姓名、銀行戶口、信用號碼及密碼等，雖然住址、出生日期及社會保障編號未有被盜取，但已足夠作詐騙用途。由於泄密事件除了VISA及萬事達卡之外，還有其他的信用卡用戶，所以總數暫時未能確定。

金管局則表示，一直關注事件，根據銀行營運守則，發卡機構若因為終端系統問題而令持卡人蒙受損失，發卡機構需負上負任。

其實銀行都知我張卡比人盜用左，而我又証明到我 out of town ，所以係銀行既責任。

唉，但都搞左成兩個幾月先比返D錢我。

搞到我又要轉銀行，又cut張卡...好煩
