Hendry 和O'Sullivan 將在星期日的決賽爭取威爾士公開賽寶座！他們各自於半決賽輕取對手。
O'Sullivan 開局起break127和78領先Hawkins4-1 ，Hawkins o係O'Sullivan鬆懈下追至4-4， 但O'Sullivan回過神來連勝兩局以一cue146完成賽事。
Hendry 落筆打三更先失頭二局，但前7次世界冠軍遂後以狂風掃落葉連勝六局進入決賽 。

奧蘇利雲 4-4 亨特利
決賽首階段完，奧蘇利雲似乎真如自己所言"未在狀態"，
八局以來未有一桿過百，反而亨特利打出一桿140，狀態回復相當不錯。
正如亨特利賽前所說︰"臨場看誰發揮比較好便會是贏家，
我與他是同一類型的桌球手，只是他比我快一點而已。"
