Haha I don't think i can afford the whole traning up to ATPL, but maybe a PPL is ok. Then apply for sponsership lor. But 911 and SARS has seriously made problems to airlines. I read a article yesterday on yahoo and it said cathay pacific is currently losing mony everyday, and if it continues, then they can only survive for 40 days with the money they have. Very worrying!!!

Yeah study hard adrain! But I used to know a cathay pacific's captain, and he told me that academic results are not actually 'that' important (but of course reasonable la) because they don't proof that you can fly well. They ask for reasonable results because there are lots of theory and ground school class and exams.
Airlines are looking for attitude, and how well you react under pressure, confident, good with numbers etc.
Most people can reach to interview stage, but most of them fail at aptitude (can't spell...sorry) tests. You will not know how well or bad you are until those tests. |
