I understand what is meant by "product name + PCMCIA"

But why some are "product name + USB"? What is the use of this "USB"

they are different type of connection interface.
PCMCIA card Adapter normally for notebook PCMICA slot,
USB Adapter is normally for Desktop, also notebook.
