據京華時報報導，昨天，記者從“迪士尼網站”上看到，本應屬於香港狄斯奈樂園的“迪士尼.cn”中文功能變數名稱，卻指向一家汽車銷售公司主頁。同時，除“米老鼠.cn”屬於迪士尼北京代表處外，“唐老鴨”、“白雪公主”等多個迪士尼標誌性卡通形象的中文功能變數名稱也都被搶注一空。迪士尼已向香港國際仲裁中心提出功能變數名稱爭議申請。

據悉，從2004年以來，迪士尼中文功能變數名稱爭奪案一直困擾著迪士尼的進一步發展，特別是迪士尼準備在北京、深圳再開兩家樂園的發展計畫，因迪士尼在品牌保護上的不力受直接影響。迪士尼一直努力將遭搶注的中文功能變數名稱討回，尤其希望能趕在香港狄斯奈樂園開園前解決。據迪士尼中文功能變數名稱的管理公司分析，迪士尼爭回“迪士尼.cn”需付出較大財力和人力，但即使爭回，已造成的品牌損失也將難以挽回
