知道會員中有不小用緊或曾用過 Ultimate，請問用起來它跟其它 standard J.P cue的什麼不同 ?

我都用緊,其實最簡單一樣分別,就係ultimate成支cue都係度身定造(包括夾花),例如我要打58咁,唔係咁容易買到好cue
其次,就係ultimate會係全人手造,另外風乾、打磨支木o既時間會比其他cue長,所以收水冇咁嚴重.
再講落去,就係ultimate支木o既質素、手工一定會比stock cue好好多,而parris亦聲稱會將所有造cue知識放o係造ultimate身上,一般黎講,好多parris cue會出現o既問題(如木唔夠硬,錯balance,夾花夾得唔好)都唔會o係ultimate出現. |

John Parris Ultimate 由400英鎊至483英鎊都有，視乎夾花多少/種類而定。加尾洞15英鎊，短butt 22鎊，長butt 29鎊。運費另計。
訂造時間都係要考慮o既因素。John Parris 訂cue出名耐...

聽人講,由於parris已經加左價(好似話個網未update),ultimate基本價錢已經由400鎊加到440鎊,仲要係乜都唔包,即係連夾花都冇,要夾就逐塊計錢.
條數或者可以咁計,一支cue連八瓣夾花(大約85鎊),再加開s.d joint連成套extension(約100鎊),再加埋運費約八十鎊(parris好似用ups),計埋隨時要成700鎊,以英鎊1對14.2計,一支cue隨時要成萬蚊港紙,值唔值就見仁見智.
仲有就係時間問題,訂ultimate快則九、十個月,慢則一兩年,訂之前真係要諗下有冇咁好耐性.
另外仲有小道消息,話parris一般stock款都已經係由泰cue廠造,質素差之餘,o的手工真係同某隻泰cue好似,買parris真係要諗過...... |

I have a JP ultimate, and i am very happy with it. I orderd in Jan 2004, and got it in June 2004. It wasn't too long, maybe because I am in the UK and picked the cue up by myself. I think mail orders are the least priority for them!
Mine cost about 500 pounds, with the same spilcing as the traditional, with all extensions. I think it worths it. The quality of wood, and craftsmanship are really the top. It is very different with those stock models from JP. U can really see the differences. But of course, it depends whether it suits you or not, even it is expensive.
Not sure about their stock cues are made in thailand, but i do't think so. i will be very disappointted if this is true.
Mike Wooldridge's custom made cue are very good as well, slightly cheaper than JP, and the one i had only took under 4 weeks to complete. Worth a try! Very good sevice too (after sales as well). |

據知道近幾年的 J.P ultimate 不是 John Parris 做 fixing 及 維修的，是 Andy Bream 有份幫手，所以據說早期 (沒有流水號)及 400號前 的 ultimate 是他親自做，近兩年的 Ultimate 只是他監制已矣。不過近年的 standard J.P 是每況愈下是不爭的事實，我有個網友定了支 superior， 坦白講我支舊 J.P master 仲好過佢支新 cue，兩支 cue 佢打過之后，佢自己都有點失望。

Yes many people said the quality is not as good as before, stock models and custom made. It is always a risk to pay alot of money for a product, and realise it is not what you expected. Luckily, my JP (No. 694) is very good for me, and i need no worries.
John Parris was a craftsman, but now, he is a businese man, and this is the difference.
If you are willing to pay £200-300 for a JP stock model, then maybe it is better to have a custom made from Mike Wooldridge (with little extra money), this is what I think! |

可能係個人觀點問題啦,我見過唔少mike cue手工都係好靚,但老實講,木質就唔係支支都咁得,有唔少藤條cue存在,即使係以前阿mike親自拎黎香港賣o既都有D幾參差,如果要俾成3、400鎊訂cue,我情願訂glover好過. |
