In my opinion, is the victory really a victory?
Hendry's mind has changed a lot this year. After holding a lot of records (most century break in career, holding every major title more then once, 7 times embassy champions), I think he is not that eager to play snooker now.
You can see the difference by looking at his eyes comparing his recent games and those old games 5-6 years ago. The recent game I think he did play with his full power is the embassy 2002 when he played Ken Dorherty at quarter final and Ronnie O'Sullivan at semi final.
If you see Marco's performance in the league2003, I think he still has a lot to improve in order to reach the top 10.
Of course, this is only what I see in HK as we rarely have a chance to watch those games. Maybe Hendry is already doing his best but still get beaten by Marco. |
