I bought a cue yesterday, A Glover cue, which the ash shaft has been stored for over 70 years. Do you believe it ? The colour of it is quite different, it looks brown. and the Ebony is very good, and you have never seen.
it is very interesting and unbelivable. how much did u pay for it and where did u buy it? i would consider it is an antique more than a cue.if u really want to find out its genuine age, u'd better look up the history of the first two piece cue was made.i really wonder if someone made two piece cue in 40's. it is the same time when the second world war happened.
The cue is more brown than other cues, the ebony is very dark and looks good, it is different from new cue. Glover's grandfather was a furniture maker. and he left the wood to his grandson( old Glover), My friend love the ash very much and use 500 pounds to buy the ash( just the ash). I bought the cue from my friend, he is a cue collector. He is a crazy guy that like cues very much.
