時有聽到大家說jp的cue比以前的質素差了很多,小弟想請教
是jp用的材料(木質)差了,還是造工比以前差,是近一兩年變
差的嗎?還是更早?如真是這樣大家對買新cue有什麼更好的
意見嗎?thx

John Parris is still making excellent cues for the market. The quality is superb and unquestioned. I just received my JP Ultimate cue last week.it is the number 639 ultimate cues JP have ever made. It is a maple cue and the wood is one of the best and rigid type i have ever seen and the craftsmanship is no doubt the best of the best compared with my old master cues and some other cues like craftsman, and John parris in stock models(my friends have these cues).
the cue deliver a lot better power compared to my old master cues(i have two of them, one is ash, the other is maple) Balance is excellent, perfect smooth shaft.
I am 100% satisfied with the cue in every aspect.
btw, i think people who are considering master cues should beware of the QC. Including me and my friends, I have used 4 of them. Nothing pleased me but troubles came again and again. My maple custom master has a splice losses from the butt and all of the 4 masters have joints not hold tight and smooth to the shaft.

Normally, It costs more than $500 uk pounds for the whole set but since my friend gave me his 6" butt and telescopic extension to me for free and i have a case already. It costs me $415 uk pounds for the cue. Shipping is free. My friend has an ash Ultimate and i compared with mine to his. I think maple has a more(nearly perfect) smooth bridge. But i think his ash ultimate is smooth enough(better than a JP champion that one of my another friend owns).
One major difference between the in stock models and ultimate is that ultimate cues have extremely thin liquor on the shaft. But i do not know if that is what supposed to be a better cue or not cause i have only have my ultimate for a week from now.
and of course, JP ultimate really does what it descripes on its web" every even points to the shaft". This is what i appriciate simply because i have never seen any cues with such high quality craftsmanship. |

They use paper pipes to send cues. I want to know why shipping is free. My Ultimate costs me £50 for shipment.

Absolutely no problem for the shipping. The cue was in excellent condition when it came. Or you may order a cue case along with the cue. My friend did that. |

你說你的Ultimate感覺很好,我也能明白那感受,始終是J.P.的頂級model,但我想知道他整體的quality,包括models in stock 因本人想買一支新cue,想要better quality,而家都揸唔定主意邊隻牌子好! |

I do not have any certificate along with the cue too wor. Do not send email to them. It is useless cause long time ago i sent email for price inqury and they replied me 2 months after.
I think they do not have cert. My friend has an Limited Edition 5 Ultimate cue and he does not have cert too. There is just a number on the plate indicating your cue number. |

I have seen and tried 7 JP cues. 2 Ultimate, 4 in stock models, and one special. In my opinion, i do not like in stock models because i like maple shaft. i have 2 friends had their JP cues bent seriously after 5-7 years in use(one is exclusive and one is special). The others are still fine with their cues. The longest one has been using for only 1.5 years so no serious problems have found.
In terms of quality, i think in stock models and special's have more liquor on the shaft. However, compared to my master cues, JP still have less liquor. For ash cues, i think ash Ultimate has lighter color but they all have enough strength, especially the hitting sound. JP cues have more crispy and clean tight hitting sound compared to master cues. Maple cues too, master maple are awful and the wood, in my opinion, is even worse the house maple cues. Vice versa to my JP maple ultimate. It is damn solid, clean, and tight with very healthy wood texture.

no "力架" is better. It has a more smooth surface for better bridging. 有"力架" cues usually do not have high standard craftsmanship. Because "力架" covers up the whole surface so they no need to spend time to polish the shaft perfectly even. By any chance you see a JP Ultimate, you will love their no"力架" style but you can still distinguish it with others cause if its quality. |

小弟於三個月前亦有買邊個cue 牌子嘅煩惱,唔係話JP嘅cue 唔好,不過真係見過有位人兄所訂嘅JP cue 出現cue 身同個joint 位出現不平,即係cue 身闊過
joint 位.此其一.
John Parris 嘅 order 太多,等你十幾二十個星期經常有,而且D cue 都已經
由佢徒弟造,QC 會唔會好呢!
終於試訂Glover cue,十個星期交貨,估唔到有咁好嘅驚喜,四邊總共十二瓣花布飢痝ㄜq過佢嘅ｃｕｅ． |
