Brother, I hope you won't mind at the things I am going to say.. Just wanna help your game.. When you say that you cannot stop a ball , cannot draw a ball back, it's because you didn't underestand the concept of a center ball hit and also a concept of the sliding zone. Let me try to explain to you hope you can understand if not email me i will try to find some website for you.. Basic knowledge. 1. Center of a ball is located inside the ball not on the balls surface. that means you don't necessary hitting the center of the ball's surface. The idea is you have to develop you cue stick thought the center of the cue ball with centain speed (pay attention on No. 2)
2. A ball is naturally is rolling forward which is top spin. So no matter if we hit center ball or lower ball or side spin it will ended up to be top spin. The important point here is that if the original spinyou have put on the ball is not top spin then the ball somehow will have to change the spin to top spin, AND there is a little sliding zone takeplace in between two different spin and that is the stop zone. if you can catch this zone whil the cue ball and the object ball contact then the cue ball will stop perfectly.
The other thing is the tips. Of course the feel of soft tip and hard tip is different la.. What is the different ?? The speed and the time that the cue tip contact with the cue ball is different( the soft tip holding the cue ball longer that is why you feel more control)
I don't know if you people in HK got medium tips ?? that would be a perfect one.. Because hard tip is easy to miss cue and the soft tip is easy to be out of shape.. If you people only got the hard and the soft I suggest that you should use hard tip just remember to put more chalks on that is it ..
