[updated:LAST EDITED ON Aug-04-03 AT 08:45 AM (GMT)]The longest flight of world so far is from Hong Kong to New York (Newark), operated by Continental Airlines (CO) using B777. Refuel is not required enroute cause it flies above North Pole (the shortest distance from EWR to HKG). But I have not tried it yet but would like to. My longest flight was UA895 from Chicago back to Hong Kong. It takes more than 14 hours. Flying from east to west takes longer in North Hemisphere cause of headwind. So if flying from Hong Kong to Chicago, it only takes 12 hours and a little bit more.
United and Air Canada are my favorite airlines!!! Air Canada was voted as the airlines with the best frequent flyers program last year. Points never expire. I receive upgrade tickets by having flown enough air miles. And with the Star Alliance networks, it's easy to earn points. Much better than CX and KA programs.
